Teams & Sharing
Collaborate on documents and graphs with your team.
Teams & Sharing
Moongraph supports collaboration through teams. Create a team, invite members, and share documents and graphs.
How Collaboration Works
Content visibility depends on your current scope when you create it:
- Content created in Personal scope is private — only you can see it
- Content created in a Team scope is visible to all team members
Always check your scope before uploading documents. If you're in a team scope, other team members will be able to see what you upload.
To collaborate:
- Create or join a team
- Switch to the team scope (see Scopes)
- Upload documents or create graphs in that context
- Team members can see and work with shared content
Creating a Team
- Navigate to Teams & Sharing in the sidebar
- Click Create Team
- Enter a team name
- Click Create
You're automatically the admin of teams you create.
Inviting Members
- Open the team (click on it in the Teams list)
- Click Invite Member or Add Users
- Enter email addresses
- Select a permission level
- Send invitations
Invited users receive an email with instructions to join.
Permission Levels
| Level | Can Do |
|---|---|
| Viewer | View documents and graphs, but not edit |
| Editor | View, upload, create, and edit content |
| Admin | Full control including member management |
Sharing Folders
The primary way to share documents is through folder sharing:
- Go to Files
- Create a folder (or use an existing one)
- Right-click the folder → Share
- Select a team
- Documents in that folder become visible to team members
Sharing a folder shares access to documents inside it. You're not copying documents — team members access the same underlying files.
What Gets Shared
- Documents in the shared folder
- Any graphs built from those documents (if also shared)
What Doesn't Get Shared
- Documents in other folders
- Personal documents not in shared folders
Sharing Graphs
Graphs are shared via folders, the same way documents are shared:
- Add your graph to a folder
- Share that folder with users or teams
- Anyone with folder access can view the graph
Managing Team Content
When you're in a team scope (see Scopes):
- New uploads go to the team
- New graphs belong to the team
- You see team documents and graphs, not personal ones
Switch scopes to move between personal and team contexts.
Leaving a Team
- Go to Teams & Sharing
- Find the team
- Click Leave Team (or the leave icon)
Your personal content is unaffected. Team content stays with the team.
Deleting a Team
Only admins can delete teams:
- Open the team settings
- Click Delete Team
- Confirm
Deleting a team removes access for all members. Team-owned documents and graphs are deleted. This cannot be undone.
